Adolescent Psychotherapy in Warsaw

Being a teenager can be unbearably hard – and that is not an exaggeration. Between the ages of 13 and 17, almost everything changes: the body, identity, relationships with parents and peers, the way the world is perceived. This is normal. But normal does not mean easy.

Adolescent psychotherapy at Znaczenia Psychotherapy Practice is a space designed specifically with teenagers in mind. It is not “a conversation with an adult who knows better”. It is a relationship in which a young person can speak without judgement and without the risk that anything said will reach their parents.

Confidentiality in work with adolescents

Therapeutic confidentiality applies in the same way as in adult therapy. Parents are informed only about matters of safety – if the adolescent is in immediate danger. What is said in a session stays in the session.

What do we work with?

What does therapy look like?

The first session usually takes place with parents or carers – an important step that allows us to understand the context and family situation. Subsequent sessions are conducted with the adolescent individually. Sessions are usually weekly and last 50 minutes.

Depending on the needs, we may include parental meetings or family sessions.

Znaczenia Psychotherapy Practice is located in Mokotów, Warsaw. Sessions available in person and online.
