Parental Consultations in Warsaw

Parents rarely come to a psychotherapist for themselves. They come for their child. But a parental meeting is precisely for them – not for the child.

It is a space in which you can say what you are seeing and what you are afraid of. Without judgement about whether you are responding in the right way. Without having to pretend you have everything under control.

What happens in a parental meeting?

We talk about what you observe in your child: how they are behaving, what has changed, when and in what circumstances. A psychotherapist experienced in working with children and families helps you understand what might lie behind what you are seeing – and what can be done about it.

The answer is not always “the child needs therapy”. Sometimes a change in how you communicate at home is enough. Sometimes a conversation with a teacher helps. Sometimes family therapy. We will help you work it out.

When is it worth coming?

Can I come with my partner?

Yes. You can book a parental meeting alone, but you can also come with the other parent – especially if you are both worried about your child or if you see the situation differently.

A session lasts 50 minutes. Znaczenia Psychotherapy Practice is located in Mokotów, Warsaw. Available in person and online.
